Windows XP - Granite Edition - A Stone throw away from a release date (Video 6)

    = He's saying U can't run big drives with Win '98 or MBR = OMFG ROFL =))
    Reply / comment 2 his obvious bull$hit . . .
@GenericTechSupport "MBR (Master Boot Record) format ('Traditional / classic') hard drive designs support massive sizes into multi-terabyte, & iDo this all the time on FAT32, because it's way more stable & fast than NTFS. The only thing that is an 'issue' is U need 2 increase the cluster size to 16KB instead of 4 if U R running say 1.5TB. Also U should B warning the guy that there is a problem with SSDs & older OSes where it tends 2 wear out the SSDs because it does not expect a 'limited write cycles' environment. i4Get the notes about it & name of the 'feature' because all solid state storage is krap compared 2 spinning drives (not really faster when doing big files or big moves) so pointless & way over priced. BTW: iGet the impression those $cam 'SMR' (Shingled Magnetic Storage) drives R really just an extension of 'Advanced Format', where at the hardware level instead of 512 bytes or whatever it's smallest portion is 4KB.

My bet is 'shingled' drives have some crazy high number like a few megabytes or something 2 eliminate as mush 'slack' as possible, 2 (artificially) jack the storage size, at the cost of speed & reliability because it has 2 remove & re-write stuff 2 a multi-meg (or whatever it is big) sector on the fly instead of only touching the individual file U R trying 2 write. iAvoid those drives so not sure if there R 'bad shutdown' problems 2, like 'silent corruption' U get if U have an 'Advanced Format' drive without proper 'alignment', which U can check with freeware tools like this ~> https://www.google.com/search?q=disk+alignment+test+sergey+volynkin

BTW: U can also do 'gigantic' drives in FAT32 on MBR even if the motherboard/BIOS doesn't technically support it, by upping the bit depth of the 'driver' using 'drive overlay' boot loader software like this ~>

OMFG U R so dum!! RESIZE the image & sav it az a 'BMP' 2 the native monitor rez (& crop if needed) so don't need 2 use Windoze 'stretch' feature or 2 change the 'aspect ratio' = FUX SAKE man #GetAGrip =)) BTW: When demoing for YOUTUBE VIDEOS U should also rece the resolution so looks readable even at '720p' or even less. 480p is good enough 4 movies & 'anamorphic' whatever DVD is perfectly readable in credits, + U could always demo yor $hit on a smaller resolution display or resized on the output, rather than biching yor 4K capture is a mess = WTF? U R certainly a big expert on 'Group Policy Editing' but when it comes 2 'video tek' U R a frooking #TrainRek =))
    ---
OMG STFU!! Win '98 does not have 'bad looking video'. U R just doing it all wrong, on purpose, 2 bash 'old' gear, as if 'newer always means better'. Win '98 was GR8 4 playing Youtube & DVDs & all that jazz with awesome realism like using filters through FFDShow with MPC (based on my ideas BTW =) U don't know $hit about video & R just harming 'the community' with yor insane bull$hit pretending (4 instance) it's impossible 2 get full screen gaming = Y the fuk even watch this TROLL session of yorz? NEXT!! U remind me of all those clowns who pretend something is 'bad' because it doesn't play nice in their 'virtual machine' = LOL!!! U should just stik 2 goofing around with 'Group Policy' jakazz. U R such a boring #OneTrickPony = Run Tennable Nessus Essentials 2 get a fake fear-mongering 'security warning' & $care the Cu$tomer into paying U a bunch of $$$ 2 'upgrade' their 'protocols' = repeat LOL If U want 2 make yorself useful, fix Windows XP desktop so it enables vertical sync, like with it does when running Aero theme on Windows 7 4 example = avoids horizontal tearing in web browser video playback =) Let me know if U ever do that, & iCan also pay U 4 it if U want, @ 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com'. BTW: The only time U catch 'infection' or whatever other 'security issues' with Windows '98 or B 4 is if U download something 'malicious' & run it, or at least that's been my experience, which is extensive. Windows XP B 4 SR 2+ was an infinitely worse nightmare, as immediately flooded with various spam from some random 'open connection' Micro$oft deliberately put there 2 generate Cu$tomer $upport $ales =P Kind of like how they break everything else in different ways, on purpose =;-o Like 'The So-Called (((Government)))', the goal of Micro$oft or Krapple or N E other 'big brand' is not really 2 help U so much as rob & destroy U. They R ((($atanic))) like that ~> https://justpaste.it/9m7gb Now go get yor (((Clot $hot$))), GOY! ~> https://justpaste.it/3gm80 & don't 4get yor (((FaceDiaper))) =)) ~> https://justpaste.it/33gfu #Gaza

'New' updates version(s) of Windows 7 here ~>
= Worse than XP in most ways (except offers 'desktop sync' through 'Aero' skin), but better than 10 or 11 in most ways.  All XP really needs is vertical sync (with 'classic' skin) to avoid horizontal tearing in web browser video playback.  N E 1 who wants 2 fix that let me know at 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com' & iCan pay them 2 =)

Hi Ramsey, do you remember the issue I reported about KB2756651?
Sorry I told you a bit late.
I'm starting to recover patch update server 2003 all languages and have my own project,
I have found which files are not compatible with Windows XP in my language.
    is micross.ttf (microsoft sans serif)
    one only file
    • This commment is unpublished.
      Ramsey · 4 days ago
@MilkChan When you tested the KB2756651-v2 update did you only replaced the .ttf fonts or also the "*.dll" files? Because I still remember that those "*.dll" files were incoptiabe with Windows XP.
I also think that the KB2756651-v2 Vista update was only tested with an English Windows XP before making it as compatible in the RyanVM forum.

Did you also run into a problem with the KB2493989-v2 update?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      MilkChan · 4 days ago
      @Ramsey KB2493989-v2
I had no problem using that update.
In use, I now replace my computer with a Core i3 3320.

For KB2756651-v2 Replace just the ttf file with the old version.
I replaced the file with an old version of Windows XP.
      It can be displayed normally.

I tested both in a VM.
      Other languages
got the same problem form KB2756651-v2

@MilkChan You mean the KB2756651-v2 "*.ttf" files work on an English Windows XP but not on a non-English Windows XP, right?

If that the case then I simply can remove this update. And we can always manually installed and uninstalled text fonts in the Windows XP settings. I even added an option to slipstream any text font into Windows XP with the ISO/Disc Zip-Archive file ".\OEM\RunOnce\Desktop Personalizations\Fonts.7z".

Useless = no advantage over Thorium 4 XP or the recent firefox back port 4 XP, & like those won't play DRM stuff like Netflix either.  All this $hit is way 2 broken.  Get on it.  Copy the 'wildvine' or whatever = that's the programmer's job, not ours.  iWood B happy 2 pay 4 a 'portableapps.com' style back port of Firefox 125+ that forces single thread (instead of wasting so much RAM = & iDon't giv a fuk about fake 'security' excuses) & plays Netflix & others right.  iDon't even watch it myself but lots of people iKnow do & 'need' it. Can reach me at 'balkanguy (at) live (dot) com' =)  BTW: Extra Awesome bonus points 4 ALSO re-enabling the 'foxify' thing that lets 'chrome web store' addons work on Firefox (portable =)  & double BTW = put the tab bar below the address bar = fux sake = so retarded all this anti-user bull$hit LOL  They really go out of their way these days 2 waste as much mouse travel as possible at every step, from over-sizing & over-spacing menus 2 moving $hit 2 the worst location, like in Thorium (Chrome) the 'find' function is hidden at the bottom of 2 different sub menus instead of a link in the tool bar = INSAAANE!!!  Their goal is 2 keep U from 'finding' N E thing = they H8 U All = same way the force new tabs 2 the far right, so U get lost, & don't return 2 the last tab automatically, etc.

@hanoka I noticed that I still have to build a proper Thorium installer and then I will have double check if I haven't forget something.

      @Ramsey
Instead of an 'installer' U should definitely make EVERYTHING YOU POSSIBLY CAN in 'Portable' form, including the OS itself, like disabling the fake 'protecting your system' (from changing the motherboard or whatever) BSOD $cam 2 try & force U 2 reinstall Windows from scratch.  Back in Windows '98 on back U could just dump a drive into any PC & it would simply re-detect the hardware =)  Here are some tips on how 2 'portablize' apps.  I've been using this kind of stuff 4ever & it's really GR8 = best kind of apps ever = can move them 'wherever' & still work, instead of scattering all the 'dependencies' all over the place like system registry & 'user file area' & blabla ~> https://portableapps.com/node/61118

Also if U can force Thorium 2 use only 1 thread that would B Awesome =)  It's such a 'malware' wreck now, like other 'chrome-based' garbage, it literally wastes like 14 gigs of RAM just 2 have a few dozen tabs open, meanwhile 'old obsolete junk' (that's infinitely superior in so many ways) can have HUNDREDS of tabs open & under 1,300 megabytes (where it starts 2 'slow down' & better off restarting it, which is E Z & will get all yor tabs back fast =)  The ideal thing is 2 simply back-port 'the latest greatest' Firefox like v125 as a portable app (like through the 'portableapps.com' tips above) & force it 2 B single threaded & also add back the 'foxify' type thing where U can install chrome web store addons as well as from the firefox plug ins site.
But is it really?  iKnow from using the 'portables' on 'portableapps.com' that the Firefox there can B made totally portable so doesn't lose N E of the settings or apps when copying it 2 N E other PC ~>

This edition of Winders XP has served and spoiled me so far. But I want to go for win7 now(software that you install make/break the XPerience, and that includes hardware support drivers!).

Since windows 7 updates have stopped(yes?), is there a pedigreed ISO like XP Integral Edition here?

What about going for win 10 Integral Edition instead(I want x86 for several reasons)?
I am wary about updates breaking subtle things I need mostly.

    Where go to now?

    My computer specs.
Xeon quad CPU, two mediocre GPUs(Quadro 600 and Intel GMA), 4 GB of RAM(might need PAE to control all 4...), plenty of storage.

    https://thorium.rocks/

iMod it like crazy (still fiddling = need 2 make the top bar smaller but dunno' how yet =P  1 of the most absurd, insane things in 'modern' browsers is putting the tabs above the address bar = as if we change addresses within a tab more than switch tabs = wastes mouse travel, like the extreme over-spacing 'anti-trend' (sabotage) ~>
My Firefox 52 is even way more compact than that = SOOO Much better, same way XP is so much more space efficient than N E thing after = they just keep making everything worse, on purpose =P  Same way they try 2 poison us all with the (((Clot $hots))) ~> https://justpaste.it/2ce64

@Dood McMan Hi, Dood...it's been a while since I posted here, and I wanted to thank you genuinely for bringing this new Firefox back-port to everyone's attention.
I honestly have yet to try it myself (I am sticking with Mypal68, which does the job just fine for the sites I use it for), but just knowing there is a new option available is a definite blessing.
After a long period of no major breakthroughs in back-porting modern web engines to XP, I had begun to contemplate a migration to Windows 7; with the options out there these days, I am grateful to still be able to use XP, knowing there are suitable 'secondary' browsers for the stuff Mypal can't do.

Have a good weekend and stay safe, sir!

@cmccaff1 Check out also my finds on 'Aero 4 XP' & Nobara & Bazzite, etc as alternate OS options =) ~>
Though 7 has some nice features visually once hacked with other mods, it's still incredibly broken, on purpose, by design.  XP is 'less broken', but moving over 2 Nobara or maybe 'Aero XP' is a better option than 'integral XP', & certainly N E thing is better than 10 or 11 = OMG what a #FailTrain =))  If U do go with 10 (11 is totally unusable) B sure 2 install totally offline & permanently block all updates B 4 U connect, or it will deliberately & immediately suicide wreck itself ~>
Mr. Ram-Z should have that set up by default, but iGez he prefers 2 'prank' us with the 'auto-malware' version that rips itself 2 pieces by 'phoning home' 2 get flooded with 'the latest greatest' pile of bugs =))  iRan his 'integral' for over a decade & never 'updated' N E thing at all.  The whole 'update' thing is a $cam = people falling for 'newer = better', like 'U don't want that day old donut 4 breakfast!  Eat this steaming hot fresh bowl of dog $hit instead! =D

I have noticed over the years, on different rugs, the Windows XP startup sound has a a studder or a ten millisecond hiccup when it plays.
Is there a buffer I can increase or some fix that will make it play smooth?
Or delay it untill all the background stuff is finished loading, than play the startup sound?

Using to repair xpp. It all goes great until it asks me for the COA. I put every xpp COA , XPP upgrade, sp1,sp2,sp3, media center, OEM tried every XPP key type and  none worked. Is there a special key for it?

@Claude The "Information" folder in the Zip-Archive file has what you need. And you should also do a fresh installation.

It's very important 2 never 'upgrade' an OS install unless U have very specific 'issues' that you NEED 2 'alter' & R able 2 verify U have found the EXACT correct solutions ('add ons') 2 'fix' those issues B 4 U ever 'install' N E 'mods'.  The reason is because the same way the function of 'The So-Called (((Government)))' is 2 try & rob & destroy everybody, like forcing the (((Clot $hots)) & other abuse, the goal of Micro$oft & Apple & others is 2 cripple yor ability 2 have a 'final solution' machine.

iRan a very old version of the 'Zone94' so-called 'Integral' Window $ex Pee (XP =) 4 over a decade & never changed it at all with 'security fixes' or other bull$hit.  That stuff is generally straight-up MALWARE 2 wreck yor machine trying 2 trick U into buying a new 1 = which is Y Vendor$ 'Lov' Micro$cam $OOO much =P  Just install it & lock it down B 4 U ever go 'online', PERMANENTLY disabling ALL 'phone home / update' bull$hit, 'workstation' & 'remote desktop' related 'services' that let them 'back door' U up the azz 2 wreck yor PC that way, & so on.  Then U have something that simply 'just works' 4ever (until it 'degrades' over time from YOUR program tweaks, as N E OS doz wen U fiddle with it =))  My bet is the reason U R having problems is because U tried 2 hook into the 'slave master' Micro$hit 2 'update', & not the fault of N E thing Mr. Ram-Z did with his 'Integral' OS =;-o  If U want the most reliable, stable, flexible system, simply turn off off everything but these, B 4 U ever connect 2 the internet, & leave it that way, 4ever. ~>
      1) DHCP Client = internet
      2) Event Log = just 2 avoid 'shut down hanging' (bug)
      3) Plug And Play = Audio
      4) Windows Audio = as above
      5) Remote Procedure Call (RPC) = runs 'everything' (pretty much =)
& just turn everything else off ~>
      http://p-nand-q.com/download/pserv_cpl/pserv2_x.html
= The old version is the best = typical LOL =))
Almost every so-called '$ervice' in XP iHav set 2 'DISABLED!!!' =)  Even $hit like 'DHCP' iHav 'off' because 'how often do U need 2 rearrange partitions via the OS tool'?  Never actually = as lots of 3'rd party tools 4 it, but iDo just 4 'consistency' so all EXACTLLY the same 4 'leap frogging' mods ~>

HAY People! =D  My 'Trolling' has worked?  iCan't B the only person biching about 'just make it work on XP already' =)) Imoportant E-Mail iSent 2 Mumzie = Subject: "From (me): SUPER-Fast 'Latest Greatest' (But Backward Compatible) Web Browser 'Thorium' (Chrome =) 4 U ??
Even installs Chrome addons from their 'web store' like Instagram downloaders = I'm DONE! =D No need 2 ever switch from XP!! =D BTW: Opera 12 (which is crazy fast) doesn't work on a lot of 'java hell' type sites like Joo Toob, & yes = Thorium = extremely fast web browser, with ad blocking (it seems, at least on Youtube =) I tested only the XP 32 bit thing here, as iMainly use XP, because everything else iz KRAAAP! =) ~>

= U just download that & then open the folder & click the 'exe' (program) icon called 'Thorium.exe', like a 'portable' app run from a folder (showed U this sort of thing in the past). May help $peed up yor 'WorkFlow' with $tox & $tuff? =D It opens a ridiculous # of threads even 4 1 tab, but not worse than 'chrome' based stuff, which is 'everything' now, so whatever =P Fastest for browsing Youtube I've ever seen, even beating Firestick 4K 'Android' & iOS stuff =) Somebody please explain 2 me Y the frak U would ever use N E thing other than the XP version when it is fast like this & will do the chrome web store = WTF? Now all we need is a Firefox version, because Chrome 'forbids' being 'portable' = loses add-ons when move 2 another machine unless U 'sync' 2 joogle 'cloud' =P Maybe he can fix that 2? & also make 'latest greatest' Firefox work on XP 2? Gonna' try 2 convince him =D
